Creating a Dream Board

Dream boards/Vision boards are the perfect tool used to focus your intention for what you want in your life. So for example, you could be looking for your dream job, a supportive loving partner, want a baby, an exotic holiday, more money, an exciting life, meet someone who you admire etc the list is limitless just like your imagination.  Whatever you want, put either an image of it (magazine cut out) or write it on the dream board.

Dream boards can be as elaborate or as simple as you want them to be.  I’ve been creating dream boards for many years now. It’s a way for me to direct my energy to where I want it to be.

When I started studying feng shui I realized that I could optimize the dream boards power by placing it in a position where the energy was aligned with me.

I create a new dream board at the beginning of every year and I pick an auspicious date to optimize the energy of my thoughts.

Below I have listed some tips for all of you on how to create a dream board:

To create a Dream Board

  • First decide if you prefer to use magazine cut outs or if you want to write on it:
  • Clear your space and light a candle.
  • Next get a board or use a sheet of cardboard
  • Get a ruler and draw a 3/3 grid so that you have 9 boxes
Finances (car/home etc) Fame Reputation Relationship
Family Health You Children Creativity
Knowledge Skills Career Mentors Travel
  • Next either stick the images or write your desire in the above categories.
  • Have a ritual, pick a time where you have no interruptions.
  • Play some soothing music in the background.
  • Really concentrate and be honest with yourself.
  • In the centre of the dream board write your name.

Where to place the Dream Board

In your home office or home study stick the dream board on the wall in the South – if this is not possible place it in front of your desk.

Take a few minutes a few times a week to sit and concentrate and activate your intention to action these dreams.

Thanks for this post. Is this something similar to reiki? Do you practise reiki too?

I love this! Is it ok to place it by your bedside – on the shelves on top of bed? or even at the side of your bed when you enter your room? The dream boards are suppose to help us focus visually on our dreams so it should placed where we can see it right away. Is this correct?

    Hi Priya,

I have came across your name in Sir Paulo’s blog where he has mentioned about a real story by Dr. Pooja Tripathi, that it will get necessary modifications (if required) before getting published. Again today when reading through (Paulo’s Blog) – Prayer of Forgiveness (O Aleph), saw below that the whole content has been translated by you. Inquisitively, I logged into your profile and found it to be just wonderful and awesome. Then for the first ever time come to know about Dream Board (where to one of your queries, you have mentioned this link).
I found it to be very useful. Wonderful way and solution to focus our energy to achieve somthing good in life. Thanks Priya for sharing this that how to do the same with all of us. Very useful information.

    Love,
    Minakshi
